What Nex Vision Ltd collects, why, and how to get rid of it. Last updated 4 September 2026.
Who we are
Nex Vision Ltd, Unit 7, Cornhill Works, Sheffield S4 7QQ, company number 14882703, is the data controller for this website. Email hello@nexvision.co.uk for anything on this page.
What we collect, and when
- When you order: your name, email address and delivery address, plus the units you bought and what you paid. Stored because we have to be able to fulfil the order, honour a 12-month warranty and keep accounting records.
- When you request a trade-in estimate: your name, email address, and what you told us about the device and its condition. Stored so we can quote the reference back to you and handle the item when it arrives.
- When you email or call: whatever is in the message. We keep support threads so a warranty claim a year later still has context.
- In your browser, not on our servers: your basket lives in your own device's local storage. We never see it until you submit an order.
We do not ask for a date of birth, a phone number, or an account password, because we do not have accounts. No card details are collected by this site at all.
Lawful basis
Order and trade-in data: performance of a contract, and legal obligation for the accounting records. Support correspondence and fraud or stolen-goods checks: legitimate interests. Any marketing email: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who else sees it
Only the people who have to: our couriers, our email provider, our hosting provider, and our accountant. Where an item's provenance is unclear we may check it against the national property register or share details with the police. We have never sold personal data and will not.
How long we keep it
Order records for six years after the transaction, as UK tax law requires. Trade-in enquiries for two years, so we can match a reference if you come back. Support email for two years. A "watch out for this model" note is deleted as soon as we have matched you or you ask us to drop it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict what we do with it, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us and we will respond within one month — usually the same week. The one thing we cannot delete on request is an order record inside its six-year retention period.
If we get it wrong, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Where your data lives
On managed infrastructure in the European Economic Area. Where a provider processes data outside the UK or EEA, that transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
